Hey there! I’m Juliette Wang
the face (and taste buds) behind Forward Tasting. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love food. Like, really love food. But here’s the kicker—I was actually a terrible eater before the age of five. My parents had to trick me into eating my meals. Fast forward a few decades, and now I spend my days helping people discover amazing Canadian-made food and beverages. Life is funny like that.
I was born and raised in China, where food is more than just fuel—it’s culture, connection, and a way of life. With a dad who’s a traditional Chinese doctor and a mom who’s a biologist, I grew up with a deep appreciation for what goes into our bodies. Big flavors, healthy ingredients, and holistic choices? Sign me up!
My passion for beverages (especially non-alcoholic ones) took off when I led Coastal Wholesale, working with incredible Canadian producers and businesses. I quickly realized that small and medium brands needed someone to champion their products, connect them with customers, and make their flavors unforgettable. That’s where Forward Tasting comes in—helping brands grow, one tasting at a time.

I like to say my superpower is spunky charm—I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a little bit of cheekiness to everything I do. My energy is contagious—whether that’s a good thing or not, I’ll let you decide! When I’m not working, you’ll find me enjoying a cup of Oat flat white, sipping on a Sapsucker or a Cove soda, exploring Halifax’s best eats (Ori Foods, Studio East, Lou Pecou, Levantic Bakery—yes, I have favorites), or dreaming about my future farm full of dogs, chickens, cows and sheep.
